We're so glad you're a part of our community! Here you can learn a little ore about our mission.

the beginning

According to the most recent Census, the U.S. is the most diverse it's ever been. However, the fear of diversity, the uncommon, has prevented us from celebrating and experiencing the benefits of cultural diversity.

In recognizing the large scale of the issue, our goal is to begin the process of bridging the gaps of unfamiliarity. Starting at the heart or rather the stomach we want to provide interactive opportunities, both online and in-person, for groups and individuals of all backgrounds, age, gender, etc. to build a community that fosters a culture of awareness, understanding, and celebration.

Enter Common Table. A movement who's goal is to foster community, provide informative information on various cultures, generate conversation, and prompt cultural cooking experiences.

There are various ways one can become a part of the table including:

+ Following and sharing with us on social media

+ Contributing a recipe, story, or both

+ Cooking a meal and sharing cultural conversations with friends and family

+ Coming soon to select stores near you cooking kits!

So, why food and conversation? Well first off, both are vital to humanity. Easily enough, people need food to survive. In addition, food brings people into community with one another and provides us with common ground. Community is key because humans are relational beings. We were made for doing life together. Conversation plays a big role in how we relate and commune with one another.

What happens when you put two and two together?

You get the dinner table! A place where diverse groups of people come together to eat and share quality time with one another; the perfect place to start.
